The Riley Family are the proud parents of Connor (3 years), Declan (1 year), & Elizabeth (4 months). The Riley Family truly shows us all what is looks like to raise children in God’s light. They talk to their children often about their family rules & what it means to follow God’s will. Praying before meals in a ‘norm’ for them, in fact Caitlin says, “Connor will remind us if we forget & Declan always says, “YAY” afterwards.” Attending church is a priority for the Riley Family. Being a busy family of 5 doesn’t always allow them to do things consistently, but something they really all enjoy is outside play & working in their yard together. From seasoned youth group leaders, to vision, search, & safety teams, these parents serve on many different capacities @ KCC. We are thankful that they are a part of KCC. They are a great example of living out the charge of the Shema. Thank you Riley Family for being the hands & feet of Jesus!

SHEMA

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”

– Deuteronomy 6:4-9 (ESV)
